You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For what value of k does the line kx+7y=10 have a slope of 3
The slope intercept form of a line is highlight%28y=mx%2Bb%29, where m=slope.
kx%2B7y=10
kx-kx%2B7y=-kx%2B10
7y=-kx%2B10
7y%2F7=-kx%2F7%2B10%2F7
y=%28-k%2F7%29x%2B10%2F7 The slope is m=-k/7 we want it to = 3
-k%2F7=3
-7%28-k%2F7%29=-7%283%29
highlight%28k=-21%29
Happy Calculating!!!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
For what value of k does the line kx%2B7y=10 have a slope of 3
The standard form (slope-intercept) for this equation is:
y=mx%2Bb where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
Lets put the equation into standard form:
kx%2B7y=10 subtract kx from both sides
kx-kx%2B7y=-kx%2B10
7y=-kx%2B10 divide both sides by 7
y=-%28k%2F7%29x%2B10 this is now in standard form
m=-k%2F7 so
-k%2F7=3 multiply both sides by -7
k=-21----------------------------------ans
