You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let A = your age now
Three years from now (A + 3) you will be 3 times as old as 27 years ago (A-27)
In equation form this is A+3 = 3(A-27)
Solve for A:
A + 3 = 3A - 81
2A = 84
A = 42
So you are 42 years old
Check: 27 years ago you were 42 - 27 = 15. Three years from now, you will be 45, which is 3x15
You can put this solution on YOUR website!
let your age now be years from now you will be years ago you were you will be times as old as ; means
.....solve for ......your age now
check:
in years from now you will be years ago you were and that you are times as old as as you were years ago : which is actually your age in years from now
