T=60x%2B75

Where T is our total cost, and x is the number of months.

In order to find the number of months (x) where the total cost is equal,

just set the two equations equal to each other:

50x%2B125=60x%2B75

125=10x%2B75

50=10x

5=x

It appears that the total costs will be the same at the 5-month mark.

Prior to 5 months, Nextel will be more expensive.

After 5 months, AT&T will be more expensive.
