You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2h + 2(2h+4) = 26
The distributive property says multiply each term inside the bracket by the term outside the brackets, then remove the brackets
2h + 4h + 8 = 26
Combine like terms
6h + 8 = 26
Subtract 8 from both sides
6h = 26 - 8
6h = 18
divide both sides by 6
h = 18/6
h = 3
