we want to get each pair of fractions over a single denominator
The top one is easy, cancel the 3's
2%2Fx+1%2Fx
------------
1%2F%283x%29-1%2F%282x%29
which is
%282+%2B+1%29%2Fx
------------
1%2F%283x%29-1%2F%282x%29
which is
3%2Fx
------------
1%2F%283x%29-1%2F%282x%29
the bottom pair has a common denominator of 6x, so we have:
3%2Fx
--------
%282-3%29%2F%286x%29
which is
3%2Fx
---------
-1%2F%286x%29
invert the dividing fraction and multiply, cancel out the x
3%2Fx*%286x%29%2F%28-1%29 = 3*-6 = -18
