Question 700124: I need to classify this polynomial by degree and by number of terms. I'm able to figure out the number of terms but I can't figure out the degree. Here is the problem:
X^4+x^3+x
It would also be helpful if you could tell me how to find the degree because my textbook is really confusing.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The degree is that largest exponent of x (or whatever letter the variable is)
The largest exponent of x in x^4+x^3+x is 4, so 4 is the degree of the polynomial.
