A) 1 + tan theta over 1 - tan theta = cot theta + 1 over cot theta - 1
(1+tan)/(1-tan)=(cot+1)/(cot-1)
Start with left side:
(1+tan)/(1-tan)
=(1+1/cot)/(1-1/cot)
=(cot+1/cot)/(cot-1/cot)
cot cancels out
=(cot+1)/(cot-1)
