You can put this solution on YOUR website!

The great thing about a rhombus?

It is a parallelogram with four equal sides!

So it MUST be true that:

x%2B14=5x-2 and 2y%2B4=3y-3

It is also true that:

x%2B14=2y%2B4 etc., but that is not nearly as useful (even though you could still solve for x and y using the right methods).

So let's use those first two equations to solve for x and y:

x%2B14=5x-2

14=4x-2

16=4x

x=4

AND

2y%2B4=3y-3

4=y-3

y=7

If you check these answers, you will find that all four sides equal 18.

And that is a comforting thing!

I hope this helps! Keep practicing! :)
