This is just pattern recognition.

It is sometimes hard to see the pattern, so let's try this:

2%5E3=8

3%5E3=27

4%5E3=64

Ah ha! So the next term should be 5%5E3, then 6%5E3 and so on.

5%5E3=125

6%5E3=216

7%5E3=343

So our next three terms in the sequence are therefore:

125, 216, and 343
