Equation of a line: y=mx+b, m=slope, b=y-intercept

4x-3y+12=0
3y=4x+12
y=4x/3+4
slope=4/3
slope of line perpendicular to this equation=-3/4 (negative reciprocal)
..
3y+18=9x
x-intercept
set y=0, then solve for x
9x=18
x=2
..
Equation: y=-3x/4+3/2 (ans.)
Check:
x-intercept
set y=0
0=-3x/4+3/2
