Question 698566: Please help me solve this question. A train travels at a speed of x km/hr. It is travelling from Delhi to Meerut. After travelling 4 hours, Meerut is still 30 km away. What is the distance of Delhi from Meerut?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Distance (d) equals Rate(r) times Time(t) or d=rt; r=d/t and t=d/r
In 4 hours the train travels 4x km and Meerut is still has 30 km away.
Soooo, total distance between Dehli and Meerut must be 4x+30 km
Hope this helps---ptaylor
