You can put this solution on YOUR website!
If you buy a necklace for $110 but it was already 70% off, what was the original price of the necklace?
-----
Let original price be "x":
x - 0.70x = 110
---
0.30x = 110
---
x = 110/0.30
---
x = $366.67

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

the original price of the necklace was $x
and 70% off is %2870%2F100%29x=0.70x
that was equal to $110;
so, the original price of the necklace $x=110%2B0.70x....solve for x
$x-0.70x=110
$x%281-0.70%29=110
$x%280.30%29=110
$x=110%2F0.30
$x=366.66666666666666666666666666667
$x=366.67
check:
70% off $x=366.67 is $366.67%2A0.70=256.67, then subtract it from the original price $366.67-256.67=110 which is discounted price
