4x^2+8x=1
/4
x^2+2x =1/2
x^2+2x+1=1/2 +1
(x+1) ^2= 3/2
take the square root
x+1= +/- sqrt(3/2)
x=+-1%2Bsqrt%283%2F2%29,-1-sqrt%283%2F2%29
