You can put this solution on YOUR website!
John made a cubical lantern.
The total length of its edges is 36 dm.
What is the total surface area that he has to cover?
:
A cube has 12 edges, therefore one edge: 36/12 = 3 dm
:
A cube has 6 sides, therefore:
Surface area of a cubes 6 time the area of each side
S.A. = 6 * 3^2
S.A. = 54 sq/dm
