Question 697078: Simplifying Radicals-this is the problem (16a^8b^4)^1/4 and this is what I have come up with so far
(16a^8b^4)^1/4
16a^8*1/4b^4*1/4
16a^8/4b^4/4
16a^2b
This problem I am completely confused I'm not sure what to do with it. (16/81)^-1/4

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
You have to apply the 1/4 to the 16 to get 16^(1/4) = 4th root of 16 = 2

So (16a^8b^4)^1/4 turns into 2a^2b
