If he loses 60 when selling it for 660 the the item must cost 60 + 660 = rs.720
If the item cost rs.720 and he wants a 15% gain the equation would be:
720+%2A+1.15
That number is found by divideing the 15% by 100. and Then adding 1 so that the nuber is increased rather than decreased.
So 1.15*720 = X

He would have to sell the item for rs.828 for a 15% gain.
