Joe ----- x
Jim-------y
Hourly pay of both
x+y = 16.............(1)
Jim gets 1.50 more
y-x=1.50...........(2)
Add up the equations
2y=17.50
/2
y= 8.75
Plug y in (1)
x= 7.25
