Question 695682: Im working on solving linear equations by elimination.
whats 3x-4y=-10 and 2x+5y=70 Found 2 solutions by mananth, MathTherapy:Answer by mananth(16946) (Show Source):
2 x + 5 y = 70 .............2
Eliminate y
multiply (1)by 5
Multiply (2) by 4
15 x -20 y = -50
6 x + 20 y = 280
Add the two equations
21 x = 230
/ 21
x = 11
plug value of x in (1)
3 x -4 y = -10
33 -4 y = -10
-4 y = -10 -33
-4 y = -43
y = 11
x= 11
y= 11
