You can put this solution on YOUR website! Write the equation of a line that passes through the points (4,4) and (-2,1).
Your answer should be in slope intercept form (y = mx + b)
**
equation of a line: y=mx+b, m=slope, b=y-intercept
slope=∆y/∆x=(4-1)/(4-(-2))=3/6=1/2
equation y=(1/2)x+b
solve for b using coordinates of one of the given points(4,4) (either point can be used)
4=(1/2)4+b
b=2
equation of given line: y=x/2+2
