You can put this solution on YOUR website! First convert minutes into hrs 75min=1.25hr
use the formula distance=rate*time
4.5=r*1.25 divide both sides by 1.25
3.6=r
so 3.6 miles per hour
You can put this solution on YOUR website! If you planned to bike to a park that was 4.5 miles away, how fast do you need to pedal (in miles/hr) to get there in 75 minutes?
----
Note: 75 min = (75/60) = 1 1/4 hrs = (5/4)hr
------
Equation:
rate = distance/time = 4.5 miles / (5/4)hr
= (4*4.5)/5)mph
= 18/5 mph
= 3.6 mph
