You can put this solution on YOUR website!

if y varies inversely with x, than you have a constant of proportionality k which makes y=k%2Fx

then you need to find k, the constant of proportionality

y=k%2Fx... now plug in given values x=3 and y=2
2=k%2F3
k+=+2%2A3
k+=+6

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
xy=k This is the inverse variation, solve for k(constant) by plugging in x and y
2*3=k
6=k
