find x-intercept and x-intercept

to find x-intercept, set y=0

0=2x+%2B+1
-1=2x
highlight%28-1%2F2=x%29

to find y-intercept, set x=0

y=2%2A0%2B+1
y=0%2B1
highlight%28y=1%29

plot these points and draw a line


now shade everything to the right from a line
