You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x%5E2%2B2x-3=0 add 3 to both sides
x^2+2x+__=3 to find the 3rd term take half of 2 and square it, 1^2=1
x^2+2x+1=3+1 add 1 to both sides
%28x%2B1%29%5E2=4 take the sqrt of both sides
x+1=± sqrt%284%29%29
x=-1±2
{-3, 1}
