Question 694165: If you can not answer all of my question it is fine but i would like some help on these problems:
The choices for the answer are Sometimes, Always, or Never:
1. A ray has two endpoints
2. An angle is equal to its supplement
3. A right triangle is isosceles
4. The complement of an acute angle is an obtuse angle
5. Two lines perpendicular to a third line are skew
6. Two skew lines are coplanar
7. If two angles have a common side, the angles are adjacent
8. The supplement of an obtuse angle is an obtuse angle
Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1. A ray has two endpoints .... never

It only has one endpoint. Always.

-------------------------------------------------------

2. An angle is equal to its supplement

Sometimes and this is only true if you have a right angle

-------------------------------------------------------
3. A right triangle is isosceles

sometimes

only if you have a right isosceles triangle
-------------------------------------------------------

4. The complement of an acute angle is an obtuse angle

This is never true

draw a picture to see this, but you'll see the other angle isn't obtuse since it's acute as well.

-------------------------------------------------------
5. Two lines perpendicular to a third line are skew

This is sometimes true. It depends on if you are in 3d space or the plane. If you are in the plane, then it's never true. However I'm saying "sometimes" because I'm thinking the problem is thinking 3d space.

-------------------------------------------------------
6. Two skew lines are coplanar

This is never true because if it were, then the two lines would intersect and not be skew.
-------------------------------------------------------

I'll let you tackle the last two.
