Question 69385: kindly solve these problems and please show the solutions:
1. two jet planes A and B pass each other flying in opposite directions. The average speed of jet A is 1030 kph while jet B is 90 kph. If they have been flying for 2 1/2 hours, what is the distance between them.
2. for their daily training, two athletes jog every morning. They start 9 km apart and start to jog toward each other. Athlete A jogs at 10 kph while Athlete B jogs at 12.5 kph. In how many hours will they meet? What is the distance covered by each athlete?

You can put this solution on YOUR website! . two jet planes A and B pass each other flying in opposite directions. The average speed of jet A is 1030 kph while jet B is 90 kph. If they have been flying for 2 1/2 hours, what is the distance between them
----------
Jet plane A DATA:
rate= 1030 kph; time= 2.5 hrs; distance = 2575 km
---------
"jet" plane B DATA:
rate = 90 kph ; time=2.5 hrs. distance = 225 km
----------------
Assuming you mean " what is the distance 2.5 hours after
they meet" the distance would be 2575+225=2800 km
