√(x+2)^2 = (x-4)^2
X + 2 = (x-4)(x-4)
X+ 2 = x^2 – 4x – 4x + 16
X + 2 = x^2 – 8x + 16
x = x^2 – 8x + 14
0 = x^2 – 9x + 14
(x – 7)(x - 2)
X = -7, -2 ?
√(x+2) + 4 = x
√(-7+2) + 4 = -7
√-5 = -12
√(x+2) + 4 = x
√(-2+2) + 4 = -2
Neither answer is correct, what the heck! Please help!
