For a triangle, any side has to be smaller than the sum of the other two sides. Because 1%2B2=3 you do not have a triangle.
A triangle example would be 2, 3, 4:
2%3C3%2B4
3%3C2%2B4
4%3C2%2B3
all at the same time.
