You can put this solution on YOUR website! First we need to know how may things Toby ate. He ate 4 crickets and 2 worms, so we just add these two numbers to find out the total amount of things he ate: 4 + 2 = 6. Toby ate 6 things. The problem wants to know out of everything he ate, or out of 6 things, how many things were worms. Well we know Toby ate 2 worms, so it would be 2 out of 6. As a ratio, this would be 2:6, 2 to 6, or 2/6. To find the percentage, just divide 2 by 6. This gives us a decimal of approximately 0.3333. To find the percentage, just move the decimal of 0.33 to the right two places (multiply by 100). This gives us a percentage of 33.33. 33.33% is equivalent to 2/6 (1/3), 2:6, or 2 to 6.
Worms were approximately 33.33% of Toby's meal.
