Question 6927: Given that x is an integer, state the relation representing each of the folowing by listing a set of ordered pairs. Then state whether the relation is a function.
y=3x(squared)-5 and 0 I just basically want to know how to get the domain and range to see if it is a function.
(squared) means that the x is squared ( in other words a little 2 on the top right side of the x) Just in case you didn't know what I meant. If you can solve this problem for me then thanks in advance and if not well thank you anyway

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=3x%5E2+-+5 and 0 < x < 5.

well the domain is xeZ, 0 < x < 5, meaning "x is an integer but only within the quoted bounds".

So, the domain is just 1, 2, 3, 4.

To find the range, but these values into the function and the answers are the range.

i shall do 1 for you, you do the rest...

x=1, y=3%281%29%5E2+-+5
y = 3(1) - 5
y = 3 - 5
y = -2
