|-4b-10| divided by 8=3

|-4b-10|=3*8

|-4b-10|=24

-4b-10=24 or -4b-10=-24

-4b=24+10 or -4b=-24+10

-4b=34 or -4b=-14

b=34/(-4) or b=-14/(-4)

b=-17/2 or b=7/2

So the two solutions are b=-17/2 or b=7/2
