Question 691870: Hi I am in Pre Calc with Trig, and I know there isn't a section for this, but I was hoping you could show me how to answer my question. I don't need the answer. I just need to know how to work it out. The question is "Perform the indicated operations, leave your answer in simplest form and identify the restrictions" and the problem is (80a^3 b^(2 )-60a^2 bc)/(120a^2 b^3-90ab^2 c). So I think I may have simplified it, but I don't know if it is right and how to find the restrictions. I have it simplified as 2a/3b because I got it down to (20a^2b(4ab-3c))/(30ab^2(4ab-3c)).

Factor numerator and denominator:

= [20a^2b(4a-3c)] / [30ab^2(4ab-3c)

Cancel all factors common to numerator and denominator to get:

= [2a(4a-3c)]/[3b(4ab-3c)]
