Assume the problem is:
a) 32%5E%28%28x%2B4%29%29+=+8%5E%28%283x-2%29%29
32 = 2^5, and 8 = 2^3, therefore we can write this
2%5E%285%28x%2B4%29%29+=+2%5E%283%283x-2%29%29
if the base is equal the exponents are equal, write it:
5(x+4) = 3(3x-2)
5x + 20 = 9x - 6
20 + 6 = 9x - 5x
26 = 4x
x = 26/4
x = 6.5
