You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
solve: log base a of x + log base a of (x-2)= log base a of (x+4)
loga[x(x-2)]=loga(x+4)
x(x-2)=(x+4)
x^2-2x=x+4
x^2-3x-4=0
(x-4)(x+1)=0
x=4
or
x=-1 (reject, (x-2)>0)
