You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How many liters of a 60% acid solution must be added to 10 liters of 20% acid solution to make a make 50% acid solution?
.
Let x = amount (liters) of 60% acid added
then
.60x + .20(20) = .50(x+20)
.60x + 4 = .50x+10
.10x + 4 = 10
x = 6/.10
x = 60 liters
