I dont have a clue,much less an answer if anyone can help me I would appreciate it:)

Let a number be x, usually the word "is" in these problems means equal
The phase "at least" means equal or greater than (=>)
:
Five plus(+) a number is(=) at least(>) 16
5 + x => 16
:
subtract 5 from both sides:
5 - 5 + x => 16 - 5
x => 11
:
Check our solution, substitute 11 for x:
5 + 11 = 16
If x is greater than (>) say 12:
5 + 12 > 16,........17 is greater than 16 is a true statement, right?
