You can put this solution on YOUR website!
It is less confusing, I think if I just replace
a and b with negative numbers
+a+=+-3+
+b+=+-5+
----------
a)
-a(a+b)
-(-3)*( -3-5 )
3*(-8)
-24
negative
-------
b)
(b-a)
( -5-(-3) )
-5 + 3
-2
( the only reason this is negative, is
because I picked b to be more negative than a )
-------
c)
(a+b)
( -3 -5 )
(-8)
negative
-------
d)
-a/b
-(-3) / (-5)
3/(-5)
-(3/5)
negative
