You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(5-2i)-(x+4i)=7-6i

5-2i-x-4i=7-6i

(5-x)+(-2i-4i)=7-6i

(5-x)-6i=7-6i

(5-x)-6i+6i=7-6i+6i

5-x=7

-x=7-5

-x=2

x = -2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Distribute the negative
5 - 2i - x - 4i = 7 - 6i
Isolate the x variable on the right side (so x will be positive)
5 - 2i - 4i - 7 + 6i = x
combine like terms
x = -6i + 6i - 2
