You can put this solution on YOUR website!
/-2x/ = /-8/

If -2x is >=0, then |-2x| = -2x
If -2x is < 0, then |-2x| = -(-2x)= 2x
------------
So you get:
-2x = 8 or 2x=8
x=-4 or x=4
