You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let's look at your first inequality.
make yourself a table:
x y
0 -2
-2 0
plug in 0 for x into your inequality, pretend the greater than or equal sign is an actual = sign. You get -2. Then plug in a 0 for y and you get a -2 as well.
Write these points into the coordinate graph. (0,-2) and (-2,0)
Then draw a line with these points, afterwards plug in a zero for both x and y if your answer is greater than or equal to -2 then shade your graph, which our answer was, so you shade over the origin (0,0)
For the next problem you do the same thing. Make a table.
x y
0 -1
1.5 0
All I did was plug in 0 for x and y. Then graph the two points and make a line. Plug in zero for both x and y and you will get zero. Your answer is 0>2 which is not true so you have to shade away from the origin. Then since your greater than sign did not have an equal sign with it the line has to be dashed. - - - -
Hope this helped. :)
