Take either equation and plug it in for y
y = 2x + 7
y = -3x -18
...
2x + 7 = -3x - 18
2x + 3x = -18 - 7
5x = -25
x = -5
...
y = 2(-5) + 7 = -10 + 7 = -3
...
(-5, -3) is the solution or point of intersection
