SOLUTION: Can you please help me with this:
Solve the equation:
3x^2-8x=0
Here is what i have:
-8+_ sqrt (64-4(3)(0))/2(3)
-8 +- sqrt 64-0/6
-8 +- 8/6
then -8-8/6 would be x=-16/6

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Solve the equation:
3x^2-8x=0
---------------
x*(3x-8) = 0
x = 0
========
3x-8 = 0
x = 8/3
------------
You can use the quadratic equation.

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Can you please help me with this:
Solve the equation:
3x^2 - 8x = 0
You are making this much harder than it is, just factor out x, and you have
x(3x - 8) = 0
Two solutions
x = 0
and
3x = 8
x = 8/3

Check in the original equation
3(8/3)^2 - 8(8/3) = 0
3(64/9) - (64/3) = 0
cancel 3 into 9
(64/3) - 64/9) = 0
