the polynomial -3x%5E2-4x%5E3%2Bx%5E2%2B5x-4...rearrange terms, put highest degree first
-4x%5E3-3x%5E2%2Bx%5E2%2B5x-4.....add like terms -3x%5E2%2Bx%5E2=-2x%5E2
-4x%5E3-2x%5E2%2B5x-4..........so, degree of this polynomial is 3

and the number of terms is 4
