3x-7=6x-3%28x%2B2%29 Start with the given equation.


3x-7=6x-3x-6 Distribute.


3x-7=3x-6 Combine like terms on the right side.


3x=3x-6%2B7 Add 7 to both sides.


3x-3x=-6%2B7 Subtract 3x from both sides.


0x=-6%2B7 Combine like terms on the left side.


0x=1 Combine like terms on the right side.


0=1 Simplify.


Since this equation is NEVER true for any x value, this means that there are NO solutions.
