Question 68128: Find the slope.
3x + 4y = 5
I have not been able to understand the slopes and I am having trouble solving this problem because I do not understand how to find slopes. Can someone help me with this. Thanks

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
In order to find the slope, you have to get the equation into a
form where the slope is visible.
y+=+mx+%2B+b is called the slope-intercept form of the
equation. This is what you want. First, get y on the left side.
3x+%2B+4y+=+5
4y+=+-3x+%2B+5
y+=+%28-3%2F4%29x+%2B+5
This is now in the slope-intercept form, and the slope, m = -(3/4)
