Let the base length be "x".
The length of each of the equal sides is 4x-8.
EQUATION:
Sum of the lengths of the legs =29 cm
x+4x-8+4x-8=29
9x-16=29
9x=45
x=5 (length of the base)
4x-8=4*5-8=12 (length of one of the equal sides)
