I think you're on the right track: Multiply everything by the LCD, 7x. Factor Set each parentheses = to 0 and solve for x.
7x+2=0 or x-7=0
7x+2-2=0-2 or x-7+7=0+7
7x=-2 or x=7
7x/7=-2/7 or x=7 or
