Question 679253: After four algebra tests, Alisa has a mean score of 82. One more 100 point test is to be given. All of the test scores are of equal importance. Is it possible for Alisa to raise her average (mean) to a 90?
--I don't think it is possible for her to raise her grade that much with one test but I'm not exactly sure how to go about figuring that out. I don't know how to solve it if it doesn't say how many points they already have in the class.
Thanks!

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
[(4*82)+100]/5=[328+100]/5=428/5=85.6
NO 85.6 is the max. ave. possible.
