Ax^2+Bx+C=0
Our equation is:
2x^2+4x=3x+x^2-10 Lets subtract x^2 and 3x from and add 10 to both sides:
2x^2-x^2+4x-3x+10=3x-3x+x^2-x^2-10+10 collect like terms:
x^2+x+10=0-------------------STANDARD FORM
A=1
B=1
C=10
Example(2) The slope-intercept form of a straight line is:
y=mx+b
Where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
Our equation is:
3y+5=2x-7 subtract 5 from both sides:
3y+5-5=2x-7-5 collect like terms:
3y=2x-12 divide both sides by 3
