Question 677706: The question says, "Sketch a narrow parabola that spills water and has a turning point of (0,3). Will this parabola have real or complex roots?"
If you could help me please? that would be great, thank you

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Plot the point (0,3)
If you make this the vertex ( turning point ) and
the parabola spills water ( does not look like a cup )
then the curve has to cross the x-axis twice and
that makes the roots real, and equally spaced on
either side of the y-axis.
The equation would look like
+graph%28+400%2C+400%2C+-5%2C+5%2C+-5%2C+5%2C+-7x%5E2+%2B+3+%29+
