"When I was 2 years old, my sister was half of my age"

means that your sister was 1 (since 1 is half of 2)

Fast-forward 78 years and you are now 80 years old. So your sister is now 1+78 = 79 years old.

When I was 2 years, age of my sister = 2+%2A+%281%2F2%29 = 1 year
So, my sister is 2 - 1 = 1 year younger than me.
Now my age is 80 years.
So, my sister's age is = 80 - 1 = 79 years.
